At Pineneedles we have brought
together some of the finest championship
bloodlines in this country. Our bloodlines
include Whisperwind, Ale Kai, Eaton, Ascot, Calbrecht, and Dassin, just to name a few.

While avoiding inbreeding, we have carefully combined lines to produce beautiful, healthy dogs.

We breed to achieve size, configuration and health and temperament. We seek to produce fairly large standards, with our males reaching 26 to 28 inches at the shoulder, and being fairly lean dogs - as poodles should be - weighing between 65 and 75 pounds.

We strive to breed dogs that match to a
very high degree the text book ideal of
physical appearance (show quality) for the
breed. Most of our puppies are black, with some creams. We also produce true silvers, and also some litters of red standards. These are different lines, and are kept seperate.

We strive to produce extremely healthy
poodles and support this concern by testing
each poodle that will be bred for hip dysphasia, PRA, and SA. All puppies come with a two year health guarantee against any genetic (inherited) disease. Shots are kept up to date and health records maintained for all adults and youngsters - of course, all puppies have had all shots as needed prior to being sent to a new family and each arrives at the new home with a complete health record.

Bonnie's a nurse by profession and is very
focused health issues.

As to temperament, our poodles are very
loving, intelligent and well socialized. These
are large housedogs and they specialize in
being very loving friends/family members.

Our dogs are home raised in three separate households of one extended family. No Pineneedles Poodle ever lives in an outbuilding or chained to a kennel outside.

At seventy pounds, a male standard poodle is large enough to serve in a protective role. Standards are used to guard in many countries.

These girls are basically housedogs. A Standard Poodle should never be left outside alone for long periods of time. They really do need people and love providing simple companionship.
